Brazil

Welcome to Brazil!
Bem-vindo ao Brasil!

Originally, Brazil was not on our itinerary for South America. However, as circumstances can change, we decided to make a detour to the Portuguese-speaking country. We thought we would only need Spanish as a foreign language on our trip to Latin America – far from it. In purely geographical terms, Brazil is huge, taking up almost half of the entire continent of South America. For that it is only natural that we should come into contact with Brazil.
Brazil has the greatest biodiversity in South America, ahead of Colombia. We are very interested in this diversity and are looking forward to it. Due to its turbulent past, strongly influenced by the European colonial powers, the ethnic diversity in Brazil is high. We expect an interesting mix of cultures and a lively hustle and bustle.

Let’s go – Brazil awaits us! Our Brazilian experiences are summarized below in our various blog posts.

About us

We are Paddy and Mimi, a travel-hungry couple from tiny Switzerland in the middle of Europe. We call ourselves slow travelers, because we like to spend enough time in one place or country. Therefore we don’t only visit the typical sights but also get to know the culture of the respective country.
