Finally, after a long preparation phase of about 1.5 years we start our next big adventure travelling the world. We used the preparation time to build our new yellow home. Now, we are (hopefully) perfectly equipped to explore the near and far world on four wheels. We are a bit proud of the fact that we did most of the van conversion work ourselves.
Our Mercedes Sprinter has enough solar panels, a large water tank and a liquid gas tank so that we can live self-sufficiently for a good week before we – mostly because of the fresh water – need to drive by a supply station. Accordingly, we are very happy to spend the night freely and report here on our blog about our experiences and the most beautiful impressions.
We live now for 1 ½ weeks in our new home. However, we have not yet traveled any great distances. We were in familiar surroundings in Switzerland to stay overnight because we still had to clean our old apartment. In addition, we still have the belongings to be stored in the appropriate place. This has already given us some nice insights into our new life, and we are surprised how well living around our previous center of life works in a van.
Following are some impressions of our settling in phase in the camper in the greater Lucerne and Aarau area.
