Nicaragua

Welcome to Nicaragua!
Bienvenidos a Nicaragua!

Nicaragua, another relatively unknown country in Central America. For us, the route does not take us far inland or to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. We stay in the more populated part of Nicaragua in the west of the country. Among other things, Nicaragua is home to the largest lake in the whole of Central America. Like many countries in Central America, it is also a mecca for volcanoes with a total of 19 volcanoes, 7 of which are still active. And finally, Nicaragua is home to the second largest rainforest in America. This is actually an impressive factor as the country itself is not huge in comparison to many other countries in different parts of the Americas.

Join us on our adventure with and through Nicaragua!

About us

We are Paddy and Mimi, a travel-hungry couple from tiny Switzerland in the middle of Europe. We call ourselves slow travelers, because we like to spend enough time in one place or country. Therefore we don’t only visit the typical sights but also get to know the culture of the respective country.
